Greetings!

You are receiving this material because we think you might be--
a source of great advice and ideas for us to try
and/or
interested in being part of the program
for the 25th World Fantasy Convention, November 4-7, 1999.

This letter is not an invitation to be on the program. We've begun planning, but are only gathering ideas and information at this time. WFC has a very limited and tightly-focused program: we know we will not be able to accommodate everyone we want to put on program.

However, whether or not you become involved as a program participant--whether or not you're even planning to attend--we'd like your contribution to the development of this year's program. This will be the 25th annual gathering of enthusiasts and professionals of the genre, and fantasy is a field of immense scope. We want to build a program which will interest and challenge our members.

Especially if you are interested in being on the program, please take the time to fill in the enclosed questionnaire. It will help us determine if we can use you and what types of program items we might put you on. We are enclosing a list of some of the topics we think are interesting, to get you thinking!

Also enclosed is a general information page and registration form. Unlike many other conventions, the World Fantasy Convention does not provide complimentary memberships to program participants. In order to participate in the actual convention, you must be a member. If you have not yet joined, we encourage you to do so soon. Attending membership is $125.00 through October 15, 1999.

We appreciate your assistance and welcome your contributions. You're our greatest source for neat ideas, and we're looking forward to hearing from you. Help make this WFC truly spectacular!

Thanks for your help.

Sincerely --

Priscilla Olson (polson@baskerville.org)
