With 1,147 guest rooms, 47 suites, your choice of 6 restaurants, and a full-service health club, the Boston Marriott Copley Place offers eveything you need to be comfortable while in the city.

The Marriott is connected to the Hynes and Sheraton by air-conditioned, internal, elevated walkways (past a devastating open-air chocolate store in the Prudential Center — you've been warned) a scant 300 yards away.

Our room rates are $144 flat (single to quad) at the Marriott.

The Marriott is Noreascon Four's non-party hotel. It's about a 5–10 minute walk (indoors) from the Marriott to the Sheraton and the Hynes Convention Center.

Current Status at the Marriott Updated [July-23-2004]

As of July 20, the Marriott has very few rooms available. If you are told there are no rooms available for your preferred dates, we suggest that you try again in another day or two. Cancellations (by our members or others) can put rooms back into our block at almost any time.

Internet Reservations

We have two block codes for the Marriott, one for one-bed rooms and one for two-bed rooms. Code WSFWSFA is for rooms with one bed. Code WSFWSFB is for rooms with two beds. The rate is the same, but this lets the Marriott know which kind of room you need. Go to the hotel's web page, follow the options for "reserve a room". Fill in the group code (listed above) at the bottom of the first page, and continue normally through the reservations process.

When you get to Step 3, "Add preferences", you can specify the type of bed and the smoking status of your room. In Step 4, you'll note that any room preferences you set in Step 3 are listed as "unavailable". Ignore that statement, and click on the "Continue" button at the bottom of the page. You will be taken to Step 5, where you can fill in your standard identification and credit card information.

Telephone Reservations

Contact your local Marriott phone reservations office. In the US, it's 800-228-9290; check your local telephone directory if you are calling from a non-US location.

The names of the blocks are both World Science Fiction; the block codes are listed above. You must tell the reservations agent whether you want WSFWSFA or WSFWSFB. As noted above, however, the hotel will not guarantee a one-bed or a two-bed room at this point. Use the block code to indicate your preference anyway; the hotel will then have your preferences listed and may be able to make your preferred room type available for you when you check-in.

Reservations by Mail

If you do not have a credit card, the only way to reserve is by mail, since you need to include a $150 deposit (made out to the hotel, not to Noreascon) to guarantee your room. Fill in the hotel reservation form, and mail it to the Marriott at:

Boston Marriott Copley Place
Attn: Reservations
110 Huntington Ave
Boston, MA 02116
USA

You should probably verify that the hotel still has rooms before mailing your form.

Save Your Confirmation Number!

Your confirmation number is vitally important in tracking information in a hotel's reservation system. If you make your reservation online, we recommend printing your confirmation page if possible.

You should also receive an email confirming your reservation within 24 hours of making it. If you don't receive an emailed confirmation, call the hotel's central reservation number (for the Marriott, that's 800-228-9290 in the US. If you're outside of the US, call your local access number.) Ask them to check whether the reservation was actually recorded by the system.
